Pearland Little League’s Fall 2020 Registration

  •  Fall Ball is open for league ages 4-12
  •  PLL’s Fall Ball program is a non-competitive instructional league
  •  Players who live outside PLL’s boundary may play in PLL's Fall Ball if your local Little League doesn't offer Fall Ball
  •  For the Spring 2021 season, players MUST live within PLL's boundaries to play 

2020 Fall Ball Registration Information

  •  The registration fee is $125 per player 
  •  There will not be an early or late registration 
  •  Each player will receive a shirt & hat
  •  Expectation should be each player will play 8 games
  •  Registration ends August 16, 2020 at 11:59pm CST

2020 Fall Ball Important Dates

  •  Registration Dates July 24, 2020 – August 16, 2020
  •  Fall ball draft - Week of August 17, 2020
  •  Practices start – Week of August 24, 2020
  •  Games start – Week of September 8, 2020
  •  Season Ends – Week of November 2, 2020

Q. How do I register?

A. Create a Sports Connect account (If you do not already have one) & select PLL Fall Ball 2020 program. Start Here -

Q. What is PLL’s fall ball 2020 refund policy?

Q. How do I volunteer and what spots are available?

A. Complete a volunteer application & background check during the registration process. Open spots include Team Manager (Owns Team Operations), Coaching Partner/Asst. Coach, Volunteer (Help with practices, games)

Q. Do I have to fill out a background check form?

A. If you plan on having any on field interaction with the children (Manager, coach, team mom, etc) then yes, this is a Little League requirement. A company called JDP will email a link for the application to everyone who selects to volunteer. Once you fill that out, they will run the background check, and a pass/fail will be sent to PLL. 

Q. What days are games played?

A. Wednesday & Friday, makeups will be on Sunday or during the week if needed

Q. Where will practices be held?

A. All teams will have a weekly scheduled practice on the fields at the Dad’s Club AND a weekly batting cage timeslot 

Q. What is the difference between a player’s ACTUAL AGE & LEAGUE AGE

A. Little League Int’l. has an established league age chart, for the 2020 fall season PLL will honor the league age for the spring season if requested. 

Q. How do I know which division my player qualifies for based on their league age?

A. This is automatically determined during the registration process

Q. What are the division by age?

A. Instructional Tee Ball – 4-years old

A. Tee Ball – 5-6-years old

A. Coach Pitch – 7-8 - years old

A. Minor (Kid Pitch) – 8-10 - years old

A. Major (Kid Pitch) – 11-12 - years old (League age 13 can play fall ball; they cannot pitch)

Q. What type of equipment do I need to provide?

A. Glove, approved USA Baseball Bat, shoes, socks, belt, bag, pants 

Q. How do I know which color socks, pants, and belt to purchase?

A. This will be determined by the team manager

Q. How do I know if my players bat is USA Baseball approved?


Q. Will in person registration be provided?

A. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic PLL WILL NOT host an in-person registration

Q. How do I apply for a scholarship for the 2020 Fall season?

A. Download and fill out the scholarship application. The application can be found on the registration documents needed page. We are working towards making this an online application, but in the meantime fill out the paper application and email it to [email protected]

Q. What counts as a proof of residency?
 (Must submit 1 from each category)

Group I

1. Driver’s License (photo ID of parent(s) or guardian(s) with qualifying residence address)
2. School records (home address of player’s parents or guardians)
3. Vehicle records (i.e., registration, lease, etc.)
4. Employment records
5. Insurance documents (with residence address)

Group II

1. Welfare/childcare records 
2. Federal records (i.e., Federal Tax, Social Security, etc.) 
3. State records 
4. Local (municipal) records (Includes City of Pearland water bill)
5. Support payment records
6. Homeowner or tenant records 
7. Military records

Group III

1. Voter’s Registration 
2. Utility bills (i.e., - gas, electric, water/sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal)
3. Financial records (loan, credit, investments, etc.)
4. Medical records 
5. Internet, cable, or satellite television records

NOTE: Example – Three documents from the same Group (utility bill, cable bill, and bank statement) constitute only ONE document.
