What to expect when playing baseball at Pearland Little League

Practices:  Most practice locations and times will be scheduled for teams at the Dads Club  before the regular season begins.  Practice locations and times are determined by the manager of your team, not the league.  Your child is expected to attend practice in order to play in the games.  Failure to attend practices can affect your child’s playing time.  There are limits outlined in the Whitebook for ITB-PW.  There is no limit for Minors, Majors, 50/70 and Junior/Senior.

Games:  We guarantee 12 regular season games for TBall-Sr divisions (possibly more). Based on past seasons most teams have played between 14-16 games with the regular season and tournament games.  Games can be played Monday through Sunday.  Monday through Friday games begin at 6:00 PM with the last games of the night starting at 8:00 PM.  Saturday’s games occur all day--each team usually has 3-4 Saturday games throughout the season.  Sunday’s are reserved for make-up games. Every effort will be made to minimize the number of late games for the younger age divisions. 

Season:  Pearland Little League is a competitive organization.  Score is kept and teams are ranked.  As a result, there is a possibility of your child’s team participating in District playoffs or in the City Tournament.  These playoffs occur in May and June.  In addition, players aged 9 and above have the opportunity to be eligible for All-Star play.  All-Star games occur in June and July.  Please consult with your team’s manager and coaches if you have a vacation scheduled during this time.  It is only fair to the rest of the team that they are made aware if your child will not be present for the entire season.  Games and practices are typically not held Easter weekend or during Spring Break.

Pearland Little League’s Spring Registration

• Spring Ball is open for league ages 4-16 (Your child’s current age may not be his league age, please see chart below)
• Players who live outside PLL’s boundary (See Map below) may potentially play at PLL with an approved waiver. Unsure if this applies to you, please email one of the vicepresidents to request more information

2024 Spring Ball Registration Information

• Registration ends December 31st, 2023 at 11:59pm CST
• Individual divisions may close as early as December 10^th, 2023 dependent upon volunteer coach signups
•   This would make the division go to a waitlist style registration, while we await more coaches to volunteer

2024 Spring Ball Registration Required Documents

• Birth Certificate
• Proof of Residency – 1 document from each of three categories
• Medical Form – Given to your coach
